Ovalen (The Oval) is the winning and built proposal in Malmö Nation’s competition in 2018 with the aim of updating the organization’s courtyard. Located in central Lund, Sweden, Malmö Nation is a student organization that rents out housing and organizes events for students. The courtyard is therefore an important place for concerts, transport, gatherings and recreation. It also has a historical significance for  Malmö Nation and it was  important to preserve parts of the old courtyard, by keeping half of the oval structure.
