ACOUSTIC PANELS

VOIDS

- acoustic panels

In this project, acoustic panels are designed in Rhino Grasshopper and then cut out by a robot. The cavernous design of the panels arose from being able to place plants inside the panels. The limitations of the manufacturing process with the robot also formed a large part of the design, where the robot could not self-collide while the cuts had to integrate nicely with each other. The cutting and acoustics where simulated in Grasshopper using the Robots plugin and Pachyderm. The project was carried out as part of the Digital Tools course at LTH in collaboration with Ecophon and will be hung in the M building at the LTH-campus during the spring of 2023.
