Strängar (Strings) is a concept home that won 3rd prize in Willa Nordic’s competition BO2049, which aimed to create a home for the year 2049. The proposal uses advances in 3D printing technology and energy production to redefine how we design our buildings. The facade is built up by a system that generates the home’s energy by resonating strings in the wind, it makes use of stormwater and minimizes energy losses with it’s form. The focus of the concept is on creating innovative sustainability, a sustainability that does not limit us but gives us new values, technically, economically and aesthetically.
